How to draw a golden lion tamarin monkey
In this lesson we are going to draw a golden lion tamarin monkey also known as the golden marmoset.
1) Draw a rectangle that will define the conditional proportions and boundaries of the chosen drawing.
2) From the middle of the rectangle, draw one vertical and one horizontal line equally dividing the shape.
3) Draw another horizontal line equally dividing the upper half of the rectangle. Similarly, draw a horizontal line equally dividing the bottom half of the rectangle.
4) Draw a vertical line equally dividing the left half of the rectangle. Similarly, draw a vertical line equally dividing the right half of the rectangle.
Mark off the width and height of the picture. Draw two ovals for the head and body of the tamarin monkey. Draw a line, which will act as the center of its head. Add lines for a tree.
Draw the shape of the tamarin’s body. Add a smooth guideline for its tail. Draw the tree.
Use guidelines to define places for the legs, arms and facial features of the monkey.
Sketch the shape of the legs, feet, arms, hands and face of the tamarin.
Draw the shape of the toes, fingers, tail and eyes of the tamarin.
Add the nose and eyes. Add lines to the palm.
Work on the whole figure, paying special attention to detail.
Contour the tamarin, trying to vary the thickness and darkness of the line. Add more detail and add the tree. Erase all guidelines.
